  1. If the Lizard is like No. 15 on your top 15 top Spider-Man list, and he is simply OK, what does that make of the rest of them? Villains not in the list?

  2. My 'Best of the rest' list is in no particular order so the Lizard isn't necessarily at no.15.

Spider-Man generally has an outstanding rogues gallery, a lot of the villains that didn't make the list either don't have interesting enough powers or motivations. A good example is the Shocker. I like him as a villain but his powers are fairly generic and he has vaguely outlined motivations. While he is an 'ok' villain and I like seeing him show up, he just doesn't have the attributes to be one of Spidey's 'top' villains in my opinion.

A lot of it also comes down to personal taste. While the Lizard is a classic Spider-Man villain, I haven't really enjoyed that many of his appearances. Compare that so someone like Morlun who hasn't shown up much, but when he has I have loved it (apart from the Other).

I hope that answers your question!
